The Phoenix Contact surge protection base-element is designed for protective circuits in MCR applications. With a two-piece design, it offers maximum ease of maintenance and impedance-neutral insertion and removal of protective plugs, ensuring no signal interference during maintenance work. The base element features an integrated gas arrester for coarse protection, with connections linked to the mounting foot via a surge arrester. Suitable for 2 conductors of signal circuits grounded on one side, it has a housing width of 17.5mm, making it ideal for DIN rail mounting on NS 35/7.5 and NS 35/15.
