ABB Surge Suppressor Unit
The ABB OVR series surge suppressor unit is a protective device to ensure that electrical equipment is not damaged by a sudden voltage spike. It has an electrical rating of 275V and 80kA. Type 1 and Type 1+2 SPDs can be installed at the entrance in the main switchboard for global protection of electrical installations. These surge protective devices are characterized by their capacity to withstand impulse current with a 10/350μs waveform which simulates natural lightning current.
