RS PRO Black Nylon Rod, 1m x 30mm Diameter

When you need a long-lasting rod for difficult industrial environments, choose this black nylon rod from RS PRO. It has a tensile strength of 75 MPa and measures 1 metre in length by 30 mm in diameter.

The extruded nylon 6 and molybdenum disulfide construction of this rod means it's easily machined and welded. It also offers good resistance to impact, abrasion, UV light, chemicals and harsh weather conditions. It can operate at temperatures of up to +160°C and its flammability rating of UL 94 HB from international science safety company Underwriters Laboratories means it's self-extinguishing. It also meets the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN, or German Institute of Standardisation) requirements for corrosion resistance in standard atmospheres.

The nylon rod is suitable for use in applications such as friction bearings, pulleys, gears, chains and machine parts.
