RS PRO Opaque Fluoroplastics PTFE Rod, 500 mm x 40 mm Diameter

Thanks to its PTFE construction, the rod can withstand exposure to chemicals and radiation. It's also low-friction and low-adhesion and has excellent dielectric properties, making it a good choice for insulation. You can safely use it at temperatures of up to +260°C, and it's rated as flame-retardant according to international science safety company Underwriters Laboratories standard UL 94 V-0. It also meets standards for plastic and elastomer testing according to the German Institute for Standardization (Deutsches Institut für Nurmung, DIN) and the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM).

This fluoroplastics PTFE rod is useful for applications such as machining custom components, as well as high-frequency insulation, etching plates and slide bearings.
