Use this thermal printer ribbon from Phoenix Contact to print items such as labels and barcodes. It's black in colour for clearly visible marking and comes supplied on a roll for ease of use.
The ribbon is an essential component in thermal transfer printing. During this process, a heated element melts the ink on the side of the ribbon facing the substrate and pushes the two together to produce the permanent print. This method can be used on surfaces including paper, synthetic materials, rigid card and flexible textiles. It's the process most commonly used to produce barcodes as it produces a durable print that's resistant to scratching and rubbing. It can also be exposed to sunlight and high temperatures without fading.
This ribbon is suitable for use with thermal transfer printer661-8966 and roll holder 661-8972. It can be used to produce professional prints at resolutions up to 300dpi (dots per inch).
