RS PRO Light Duty, Medium Duty Momentary Foot Switch – Steel Case Material, SPDT, 10 A Contact Current, 250 V


This RS PRO momentary foot switch lets you use foot pressure to change contacts within an electrical circuit. It's mainly found in large machinery, where operating a hand switch may be a safety concern. You can also use it for general purpose applications, including sewing machines, hoists and medical equipment.

There's a hardwearing casing made from steel. It has dimensions of (L) 75.5 mm x (H) 21.5 mm x (W) 103.5 mm. The casing is IP68 rated, so it's resistant to dust and can be submerged in water up to a depth of 1.5 m for up to 30 minutes.

It comes with a low action break before making SPDT (single pole double throw) contact, so the switch is normally open. This means it needs to be closed to complete the circuit. The switch is momentary and therefore you need to apply pressure to keep it in a contact position.
