The Alliance Memory Flash memory is organized internally as 8,388,608 x 8 bits and supports single, dual, and quad I/O modes. In dual or quad modes, it operates as 33,554,432 x 2 or 16,777,216 x 4 bits. It uses a Serial Peripheral Interface (SPI) and functions over a simple 3-wire bus in single I/O mode. The primary signals are Serial Clock (C), Data In (DI), Data Out (DO), and chip enable (S).
