StarTech.com OS2 Single Mode Fibre Optic Cable, 125 μm Low Smoke Zero Halogen, Yellow, 1 m

This Fibre optic cable provides a 1m single-mode link intended for high-speed network connections. It connects LC duplex to SC duplex UPC terminations and is suitable for data-centre and telecom environments requiring long-reach single-mode performance. The construction includes a bend-insensitive 9/125μm core and a low-smoke zero-halogen jacket for installations where reduced smoke and toxic emissions are necessary.

• 1260 to 1625 nm Wavelength support improves channel separation and reach
• Insertion loss under 0.3 dB ensures minimal signal attenuation
• Return loss 55 dB enhances reflected-signal suppression
• Bend radius 10 mm allows tight routing in confined spaces
• LSZH jacket reduces toxic emissions in enclosed environments

• Suitable for 100 Gbps server-to-switch connections
• Ideal for CWDM Wavelength multiplexing systems
• Used with storage arrays and high-performance switches
• Can be used in enclosed transport environments such as trains
• Suitable for installations requiring backward OS1 compatibility

It is rated for operation from -20°C to 60°C.

Ceramic ferrules are used to ensure precise Fibre alignment for low insertion loss.

Each unit is individually tested for insertion loss and supplied with a test report.

Performance exceeds ITU-T G.652.D/G.657.A1 and IEC 60703-2-50 type B1.3/B6.a1.
