HellermannTyton Connectivity Category 6A Series Ethernet Cable, 5m Cable Length, Blue - RJ45C6ABL-5.0M

This ethernet cable provides a shielded connection for high-speed network links in structured cabling environments. It is designed for use where reduced-hazard jacket materials are required and for straightforward in-line connections between equipment fitted with straight male RJ45 interfaces. The lead is finished in blue and is suitable for installations requiring adherence to recognised international cabling standards.

Features and Benefits:

• S/FTP shielding minimises crosstalk and external interference
• Cat6a category supports enhanced 10GBASE-T performance
• Low Smoke Zero Halogen jacket reduces toxic emissions during fire
• Straight male-to-male connectors ensure direct port-to-port linking
• Conforms to IEC 61156-6 for consistent transmission characteristics

Applications

• Suitable for Cat6a LAN cable deployments in data centres
• Ideal for high-density patch panels and rack-mounted switches
• Used with server-to-switch connections requiring shielded cabling
• Can be used for office backbone segments needing LSZH materials

What connector orientations does it use for port connections?

Both ends terminate with straight male RJ45 plugs, enabling standard in-line connections to networking equipment.

Which international standards does it meet for structured cabling?

It meets ANSI/TIA/EIA 568-C.2 and ISO 11801 requirements relevant to Cat6a installations.

What jacket characteristics affect building safety and routing?

The low smoke zero halogen material limits corrosive gas and dense smoke in fire scenarios, assisting in safer evacuation and equipment protection.

How long is the lead and what colour is the sheath?

The cable length is 5m and the outer jacket is blue.
