The Eaton ZB series thermal overload relay with direct contactor mounting offers reliable motor protection and control in the event of a single-phase failure or overload within a multitude of environments. The auxiliary contacts disconnect the contactor and signal the fault when it overloads, meaning a reset can then take place. It works by cutting off the current to the motor when a high current situation occurs. As the relay receives the corresponding signal, it trips.

This Eaton product is predominantly designed for imitating the heating prototypes that are a staple for keeping your motor circuits healthy, which increases the motor lifetime. When fitting overload relay remote from contactor or using more than one overload relay, use remote mounting base (stock no. 493-0488 - ZB32 only, stock no. 513-0336 - ZB65 only). Note: ZB12 have 5 pins, ZB32 have 4 pins.
