RS PRO 1 Phase 1.92 kVA Variac, 1 Output, 240 V, 8 A
This enclosed variable (or variac) transformer is part of the RS PRO professional series of Varivolt transformers that comes in a range of phases and current ratings. Variac transformers are used in both domestic and commercial settings, where they apply alternating current (AC) voltage to a load in small steps.
Featuring a silver-plated commutator, the transformer offers a smooth linear output and no waveform distortion. It has continuously variable AC output voltage, which provides good regulation. Plus, the low magnetising current and operating torque make for efficient operation.
This single-phase model is primary current-rated at 8 amps. The heavy-duty, enclosed construction assures a long lifetime and very little maintenance. Its designed for easy surface mounting using the screw terminals provided.
As an RS PRO product, the transformer has been exhaustively quality tested. It features integrated overload protection and is RoHS compliant as containing only minimal hazardous substances.
