This cable supports USB 2.0 protocol standard that allows for a high speed data transfer up to 480 Mbps. The USB connector type is determined by its shape. A Micro connector is a durable, miniaturised connector about half the thickness of a Mini USB. The Micro connector was designed for connecting small, slimline mobile devices such as smartphones and digital cameras to a host PC such as a desktop computer, laptop, netbook or tablet. USB 2.0 Micro B plug connectors are compatible with both USB 2.0 and 3.0 Micro B ports or receptacles, however, a USB 3.0 plug will only mate with a USB 3.0 receptacle due to the difference in shape.
