RS PRO Tap and Drill Set


This RS PRO tap and drill set includes six thread taps you can use to cut internal threads. These taps come in six sizes, namely M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, so you can use them for a variety of different tasks.

The taps are of a standard straight flute type, which means you can use them in a wide range of tapping applications. The taps are made from M2 high-speed steel (HSS) to guarantee they are very hard and resistant to wear. They are supplied in a custom-made plastic case for safe storage.

Use these thread taps by inserting them into the side of the hole that will receive and hold a male fastener such as a threaded bolt. The taps are handled and packed according to the administrative and technical requirements of the ANSI/ESD S20.20:2014 and BS EN 61340-5-1:2007 Electrostatic Control Standards, so you can rest assured can the risk of electrostatic discharge (ESD) is minimised.
