RS PRO Tap Set HSS 2-Piece 2.5mm Pitch Metric Standard Hand Tap M20 Thread

This two-piece tap set from the RS PRO range lets you precisely cut a female thread. The taps are used to create screw threads that allow for a secure connection between objects using threaded screws.


To ensure strength when used at high speeds, the threading taps are made of high-speed steel (HSS). This means the taps won't be damaged by heat or friction when used with heavy machinery. The taps create a coarse thread for greater resistance to stripping, ensuring a reliable and long-lasting thread.


The taps come in a case made of impact-resistant PP (polypropylene), ensuring that the taps stay safe if the case is damaged or dropped. The plug tap and taper tap both have a straight flute design, making them suitable for a range of general-purpose tapping applications.
