The Jumo Exhaust gas temperature monitor features a robust die cast aluminium case as well as the 150 mm long, stable steel protection tube guarantee operation even in rough conditions. Due to the used rod expansion principle the exhaust gas temperature monitor can be used up to a maximum sensor temperature of 700 °C. The maximum permissible ambient temperature at the case (protection class IP54) is between -50 °C and +80 °C. The electrical connection is made directly with screw terminals on the installed microswitch, which can directly switch a maximum permissible switching capacity of AC 230V/10A. At the set limit value, the system switches from one circuit to the other. The thermostat has a switching differential (hysteresis) of 10 to 18 K and automatically switches back to the original state after the temperature falls below the switch off temperature by this value. Furthermore it is used to block ventilation systems causing vacuum in connection with tile stoves and fireplaces.
