RS PRO Bright Zinc Plated Steel Pan Head Thread Forming Screw, N°4 x 1/4in Long 6mm Long

From our own RS PRO brand, these thread forming screw come in useful you need to attach two pieces of material together but only have access to one side of the material. Use them for jobs such as the disassembly and reassembly of furniture. Since the screw makes its own holes, all you need to do is create a small pilot hole in the material, position the screw over the hole and drill into place using an appropriate driver.

The 6 mm long screw is manufactured to UTS (Unified Thread Standard) No. 4, meaning the outer thread diameter is 2.8448 mm. Steel construction with BZP (bright zinc-plated) ensures this hardware has good corrosion resistance.
As these screws are designed with pan heads, they're especially suited for high torque applications in metal and wood where countersinking poses a problem.
