The 3M PTFE Flat Film Tape 5481 uses a flat, conformable film backing made of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It offers an extremely low coefficient of friction. The film backing provides good conformability when unwound, compared to typical extruded PTFE film tapes. Our tape is a quick and easy solution to reduce friction between moving surfaces. It acts as a release liner or easy release between surfaces where pressure, temperature changes and other factors can create adhesion. Applying the tape can help improve surface movement, eliminate squeals and squeaks, and reduce machine noise.
