Fluke PRV240FS Proving Unit

This proving unit is a compact, battery-operated voltage source intended to confirm the correct operation of no-test-lead FieldSense measurement and other high-impedance instruments in industrial environments. It supplies a steady 240V AC or DC output to allow technicians to perform a test-before-touch sequence, reducing exposure to live systems while validating measurement tools prior to and after on-site measurements.

The unit provides voltage via a central hub for open-fork FieldSense checks and through recessed contacts that activate when probes are inserted for conventional probe-based instruments.

It operates between -10°C and 50°C, with humidity limits that vary by temperature: up to 90% relative humidity from 0°C to 35°C, and up to 70% from 35°C to 55°C.

Recessed probe contacts prevent inadvertent touch, and a simple single-switch operation minimises handling complexity during verification.

The device weighs 0.32 kg including batteries and includes a magnetic hanging strap for convenient hands-free placement.

It conforms to IEC 61010-1 and IEC 61010-2-030 safety standards and is classified under CISPR11 and related EMC regulations for industrial equipment.
