The Copal Electronics M22L10 series is a rotary potentiometer with resistance value of 10 kO controlled by turning a spindle or a knob. It has a two terminals that are fixed to a wire wound resistive element. The third terminal is connected to the wiper, which is a sliding contact. The displacement is measured by the voltage between one terminal of the resistor and the wiper.
