RS PRO Brown Polyimide PI Rod, 250mm x 13mm Diameter

Capable of bearing considerable thermal and mechanical strain, this brown polyimide PI rod is ideal for heavy-duty use in extreme conditions. Easily machined to close tolerances, it can be precisely configured to suit many purposes.

Thanks to its incredible durability, polyimide offers many advantages over other materials. Resistant to wear, radiation and heat, this rod can be used for extended periods in harsh and hot environments of up to +300°C. With inherent flame-retardance, it’s classified as UL 94 V-0, which means that it will stop burning after 10 seconds. The rod combines a Shore D hardness rating of 90, impact strength of 9.8kJ/m² and low creep for long-lasting toughness and rigidity.

Tested to ensure compliance with the exacting standards of our RS PRO range, this product is safe and reliable. It's well-suited for a wide variety of applications including friction rings, insulators and switch parts.
