RS PRO Black Nylon Rod, 500mm x 150mm Diameter

This black nylon rod from our proven RS PRO series is designed to deliver a hard-wearing end result. Unlike normal cast nylon rods, it's filled with molybdenum disulfide (MoS2).

Designed to improve the rod's mechanical, thermal and bearing properties, MoS2 takes type 6 cast nylon and makes it better. With greater wear resistance, higher strength and rigidity, as well as improved dimensional stability, this product will withstand prolonged usage – even in harsh conditions. This rod has very low surface friction and is self-lubricating, which extends its service life. In addition, it's capable of operating in temperatures up to +170°C.

Thorough testing has taken place to ensure this product is consistent and reliable. It conforms to the DIN 50 014 standard for corrosion resistance and has many applications, such as in bearings, gears and wheels.
