RS PRO, 4 Way, 1 Row, Straight Pin Header
This electrical connector from RS PRO is used to bridge printed circuit boards (PCBs) and transmit current and signals between them. It's made of a thermoplastic material that's resistant to high temperatures, making it reflow or soldering compatible.
This pin header has contacts made of brass which is known as an excellent conductor of electricity, with tin plating for easy insertion into printed circuit boards. It's installed using the through-hole mounting method, which provides a strong mechanical bond and ensures it stays in place for a long time.
PCB headers such as this one can be used in a number of ways, either independently for board-to-board connections, or with electronic harness terminals for board-to-wire setups. They make a very efficient way of connecting boards and wires and can also be removed easily on prototypes that need to be revised.
