RS PRO Nitrile Rubber O-Ring Cord, 3mm Diam., 8.5m Long


To create a fuss-free seal in your system or equipment, turn to this nitrile rubber O-Ring cord. It lets you quickly and reliably execute the most common machine seals. The O-Ring is essentially a circular gasket that creates a vacuum between surfaces, preventing air or fluid from leaking out.

This O-Ring cord has a 3 mm diameter, and it comes on a reel with a total length of 8.5 metres. Any number of differently-sized O-Rings can be made from it, simply by cutting the cord to the required length. Made from nitrile rubber, it's effective at temperatures ranging from -30°C to 120°C. It can also be used in situations where temperatures intermittently reach as high as 150°C.

Thanks to its versatility, this O-Ring cord is used as a sealant in everything from vehicle engines to beer taps.
