Keysight Technologies U1168A Test Lead Kit, CAT II, CAT III, CAT IV, 15A

The Keysight U1168A standard test lead kit is compatible with the U1230, U1240, U1250 and U1270 Series handheld digital multimeters. The set includes one pair of test leads, test probes (19-mm tips), test probes (4-mm tips), alligator clips, fine tip test probes, SMT Grabbers and mini grabber ( black only).

These leads are connecting cables which are used specifically for Multimeters, attaching a test probe to the end will allow the user to measure the required voltage, current or electrical resistance. As it assists operation with a multimeter, at least two of these types of electrical values are measured.

Connecting to multimeters, a set of test probes will measure the device or target for an accurate reading, such as voltage or current. Due to the flexibility and quality produced by Keysight Technologies, each probe provides much-needed precision.

For protection, safety categories are an important attribute which must be taken into consideration for any electronic test equipment. With any category (i.e CAT II, CAT III), a higher voltage will indicate a higher level of protection. As an example, a test probe providing CAT III 1000 V, provides a higher degree of protection than a CAT III 600 V probe.

The mini grabber in this kit has a hook-shaped tip that allows you to connect it to your protective earth conductor. The SMT grabber has pincer-shaped tips, making them suitable for testing surface-mounted components.
