RS PRO 3-Phase Star Delta Starter, 230 V AC, 11 kW, IP65
Looking to protect your motor during startup? This RS PRO star-delta starter allows a motor to be started in three phases, with a lower inrush current to prevent damage. The initial phase uses a star connection to an induction motor, then transfers to a delta connection when it reaches 80% of its load speed.
The housing is made of moulded plastic, making it highly durable and impact resistant. This unit is suitable for use in a range of demanding indoor and outdoor environments, as it has an IP65 rating for protection against water spray, dust and small particles.
A starter like this one is often used in pumps and conveyors. As it can be operated up to 30 times in an hour, it's a good choice for applications where your motor has to be stopped and started frequently.
