OSRAM DURIS P5 Series LEDs


The DURIS P5 series of high efficacy mid-power LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, combine high luminous efficacy, superior corrosion resistance, a wide beam angle and a compact footprint, enabling the DURIS P5 LED to emit homogenous illumination without any noticeable individual points of light. These features make the DURIS P5 LED ideal for uniform light distribution applications including: Linear luminaires (e.g. cove lighting or freezer case lighting), area luminaires (e.g. office lighting), backlighting applications, outdoor effect lighting, channel letters and commercial lighting.
In SSL applications LEDs can be exposed to corrosive gases which can permeate into the luminaire (e.g. in outdoor luminaires). However LEDs can also be exposed to corrosive gases produced by materials within the luminaire itself (e.g. circuit board materials, rubber gaskets or adhesives). The OSRAM DURIS P5 LED employs a corrosion resistant leadframe which enhances its’ durability even under adverse environmental conditions.
