FH52 series 0.5 mm SMT FPC/FFC ZIF connectors with a mated height of 2.00 mm, robust structure and a high retention force. These FH52 series 0.5 mm FPC/FFC connectors feature a simple to operate rotating flip lock actuator for easy insertion of the FPC/FFC. When the actuator is fully closed it produces a tactile click to confirm it is firmly locked in place. These FPC/FFC connectors feature metal fittings inside the housing to help hold and stabilize the actuator and provide increased retention. Part numbers FH52E have longer L shaped metal fittings which extend out from the connector to allow visual inspection of the solder posts. The contacts of these connectors are designed to hold and stabilize the actuator and also have a 2 point contact structure for increased electrical reliability. Side catches inside the housings guide and temporarily hold tabbed FPC/FFC in place until the flip lock actuator is engaged providing a consistent connection and increased retention. The bottom of the connector is solid without any exposed contacts allowing the connector to be mounted over conductive traces on the PCB for PCB patterning.
