RS PRO Foot Switch Bellows for Foot Switch

This RS PRO foot bellows, also known as an air actuator, offers a safe way to operate electrical circuits remotely, making it ideal for working in hazardous areas. Compressing the bellows with a foot moves air down the tubing to the switch element, expanding a bellows in the switch and operating the electrical contacts.
The foot bellows is moulded in durable, flexible polyvinyl chloride (PVC) for a product that can withstand the knocks and scrapes of regular use. It's perfect for working in wet environments where electrical switching would pose a hazard, as the switch and all electrical wiring can be safely located outside of the hazardous area.
This component is often used as a safety feature in environments where explosive gases, vapours or powders are present. You'll also often find foot bellows of this type in battery charging rooms, laboratories and garages.
