This 4-inch engineer's try square from RS PRO is the ideal tool for inspecting and assessing angles and lines in applications that depend on precision.
The high-quality steel tool features a 4-inch blade set perpendicularly into a 3-inch stock. The blade's steel is hardened and tempered to guarantee long life. Beam-grounding and blade-grounding followed by lapping ensure accuracy by removing imperfections from the blade's surfaces, so it's perfectly flat, giving reliable measurements.
The try square meets both British Standards BS 939 grade B and US GGG-S-656E/29 Jan1966 requirements for the accuracy of machinist squares.
