This disposable respirator is an escape hood designed to protect the head, eyes and respiratory tract from smoke and toxic gases produced by fires. Stored sealed in an aluminised foil bag, it is intended for short-term evacuation use where there is sufficient oxygen and provides rapid protection within seconds. The hood incorporates a clear wide lens and an internal nose cup connected to a multipurpose filter that includes carbon monoxide protection and particle filtration.
