Anti-static pliers reduce the build-up of electrical charges to a minimum which protects components from electrostatic discharges (ESD). These pliers have dissipative handle sheaths designed not to generate discharges. This feature enables them to be used in areas where there may be a sudden flow of electrostatic discharge which can destroy sensitive electronic components. They are called diagonal cutters because the blades are at an angle to the handles which means the handles don’t get in the way.
