RS PRO 5 Core SY Control Cable 1 mm², 50 m, Screened


This five-core cable from RS PRO is ideal for use in situations where light mechanical stress may occur. The layers of PVC (polyvinyl chloride) sheathing give it protection against heat and mechanical damage as well as a level of resistance to oils and many chemicals.

As an additional protective measure, the cable has a galvanised steel wire braid for shielding. This layer not only prevents damage to the cable but also blocks any electromagnetic interference from intervening with the cable's transmissions. The top PVC layer of the cable is transparent so you'll be able to instantly identify any areas that may develop mechanical damage and ensure they're fixed quickly.

The cable is suitable for installing in dry or moist indoor conditions as well as limited outside use. It's most often used to control computers, conveyors and production lines.
