LAPP SKINTOP MS-M Series Cable Gland Kit, 25 Pieces - 53112040+79005400

This cable gland kit provides a complete assembly for sealing and securing cables where they pass through panels or enclosures in industrial settings. Supplied as a multi-piece set, it is designed to maintain environmental protection and mechanical retention for cables used in automation, electrical and mechanical equipment.

Features and Benefits:

• IP68 IP69 rated protection for submersion and high‑pressure washdown
• Includes lamellar cage insert for secure conductor grip
• O‑ring sealing ensures reliable moisture exclusion
• Heavy‑duty cap nut enables robust panel clamping
• Supplied as a 25‑piece industrial cable gland kit for bulk use

Applications

• Suitable for panel mounting in control cabinets and enclosures
• Ideal for washdown environments in food processing lines
• Used for cable entry on machinery in manufacturing plants
• Can be used for electrical installations requiring high ingress protection

What approvals cover electrical and flammability concerns for this kit?

It holds multiple national and international approvals, including CSA and UL listings, which indicate conformity with recognised electrical and component standards relevant to industrial installations.

How does the lamellar insert affect conductor retention?

The lamellar cage works by clamping around the conductor when the gland is tightened, distributing compression to prevent conductor movement and improve strain relief.

What standards govern mechanical and sealing performance for this product?

The kit is designed in accordance with several DIN and EN standards that address thread interfaces, ingress protection and cable gland functionality for panel‑mounted fittings.

What items are included in each gland assembly within the kit?

Each assembly comprises a cap nut, gland body, lamellar insert with cage, O‑ring and a sealing ring to complete the cable entry seal and retention.
