The nut is MADE from glass-fibre reinforced polyamide, offering higher stiffness than plain nylon while remaining lighter than metal, which eases handling and reduces stress on threaded fittings.

The standard supply includes a silver‑grey shade with alternative shades available to aid Visual identification or to match enclosure finishes.

When used to lock a gland threaded into an enclosure, the hexagonal nut increases axial restraint, reducing the risk of backing off under cyclical loads.
