The SKF bearing inserts are with eccentric locking collar with outer diameter 85mm. Y-bearings with an eccentric locking collar are intended primarily for use in applications where the direction of rotation is constant. While selecting bearing, robustness is an important factor because the condition in which an equipment is assembled may not be known and will vary with time. On one side of the bearing inner ring is an eccentric extension that fits the locking collar. Turning the locking collar on the inner ring extension in the direction of rotation locks the collar and bearing on the shaft.
