RS PRO ESD Foam 305 mm width


This ESD foam from RS PRO prevents sensitive pins and components from getting damaged by electrostatic discharge (ESD). By inserting terminals in conductive foam like this one you bring all the terminals to the same charge level, so the device is protected from discharge.

Made from high-density (HD) polyether polyurethane, the 6 mm-thick foam is impregnated with rigid conductive latex and offers excellent 'pin insertion' properties, meaning it's well-suited for holding small devices in place. This feature is especially handy when packaging and transporting small and sensitive pieces of equipment – just push your component onto the foam so it stays in place without tumbling about. You can rest assured direct or vapour contact with the foam will not corrode non-ferrous metals such as zinc and nickel, even at raised temperatures or humidity.

The conductive foam's surface resistance complies with EN 61340-5, the recognised standard for ESD Protected Areas.
