Chip Baluns

Baluns have been designed to transform impedance and consist of an unbalanced port converted to two balanced ports. The balanced and unbalanced ports can be either the input or the output.

Baluns are used to sort out the flow of AC signals and make the necessary impedance transformation between coaxial cable, which has a low impedance, and balanced loads, which have higher impedances.
