Kestrel Vane Mount for Use with 5000 Series Weather Meter

The Kestrel 5000 Series rotating vane mount is of simple, durable design. Any Kestrel 5000 Series meter will snap into the mount for fitting to a tripod or other -20 fitted bracket, allowing use of an extension pole for taking wind or air flow readings. This turns the Kestrel meter into a full-featured weather station with a large wind vane and precision pivot to keep the Kestrel oriented into the wind for continuous measurement and logging. The carry pouch will accommodate a Kestrel 5000 Series meter and the vane mount. It has an internal battery loop and small pocket that can be used to secure additional AA batteries. A snap-strap at the rear of the pouch secures the kit to the user's belt or pack. The idea is to create a portable weather station.

This kit is compatible with all Kestrel 5000 Series meters. It will not fit any Kestrel meters below the 5000 series. The kit is included with Kestrel's 5400 LiNK & 5500 LiNK models.

Carry case with internal battery loop to secure extra AA batteries and a snap-strap on the rear secures the kit to your belt or pack.
