Broaden your Modicon PLC's horizons with this I/O module from Schneider Electric. It comes with eight inputs that let you hook up lots of devices to your automated network. As the inputs are analogue, you can receive information via current and voltage signals from variable speed drives, sensors and other electrical devices. The unit has a 0 to 20mA current range and a -10 to +10V voltage range with a 12-bit resolution and 1ms sampling time. This supports the accurate measurement of temperatures, speeds and flows.

In addition, the TM3 expansion system is flexible due to the possibility of remotely locating some of the TM3 modules in the enclosure or another cabinet (up to 5 meters away, using a bus expansion system.
