RS PRO Pneumatic Control Valve Solenoid/Spring G 1/4 in V51 Series
This pneumatic control valve from RS PRO is used to control the flow of air from one part of a pneumatic system to another. It's controlled by a solenoid coil and set up in a 5/2 configuration, meaning it has five ports and two switching positions. The 5/2 valve alternates between two kinds of pressure as required. This kind of device is often used as a directional control valve for a double-acting pneumatic actuator.
The valve is suitable for in-line or manifold mounting. A spring returns it to its starting function when de-energised and it fits onto a G standard 1/4 in thread. It's compact and energy-efficient, with a die-cast aluminium body making it lightweight yet robust. The soft-seal spool design can deal with a high airflow of 1,020 litres per minute.
