SCD Series, Industrial DC to DC Converter

The SCD series encapsulated converters have been designed to power industrial control instrumentation devices and equipment in applications where the use of AC power is not possible. They have high reliability and tight regulation on even the most difficult of factory-floor conditions.Easy-to-install DIN Rail and chassis mounting makes these units extremely user friendly and helps to reduce instillation time and costs. The terminals have been designed to not only be easy to wire but also easy to access. Various options are available covering a wide range of voltages.

These units work by regulating the voltage making them ideal for sensitive equipment run from battery power. This can be important as a 24 Vdc battery can operate from as high as 30 Vdc at full charge and dip below 22 Vdc under heavy loads. These units will stabilise the voltage variation for equipment not designed to operate under those conditions.

They can also be used to convert commonly available dc voltages form industrial machinery and equipment, such as 24 Vdc, and convert them to other dc voltages that may be required by specific equipment being used within the same vicinity.
